Activities and Services

Our focus is on prevention: The aim of most of these measures is to make academic standards visible and comprehensible and to promote and support the discourse on good academic practice and academic misconduct.

The key to avoiding misconduct is information: only those who can clearly distinguish between honest and non-academic working methods and who know the right people to contact can consciously choose between different courses of action, even in stressful situations and in gray areas.

These services are intended to support students, teachers, and researchers in developing legally and ethically sound conduct and in implementing academic standards in everyday academic life. Our focus is therefore on raising awareness of the problem and providing guidance on how to deal competently with means and resources of information.

When it comes to the implementation of academic standards or legal and ethical framework conditions (in examinations and academia), there is often a lack of individual solutions rather than general standards. We would be happy to advise you on how to deal with or recognize fraud or on possible courses of action in cases of doubt about good academic practice. Where our expertise ends, we can refer you to competent and trustworthy specialist departments!
