Starting Monday, November 11, 2024, all of our services will be available for you again! And not only that – a lot of things will become easier for you.
What's changed?
- With the JGU account you will automatically receive a virtual library card. You can find it in the JGU ID app (AppStore, PlayStore). New: Now also available for external users!
- Would you like to access your library account in the new Research Portal? Simply click on “Institutional Login” and log in with your JGU account and the corresponding password (not PIN).
- You can now print, copy, borrow and use the interlibrary loan service with a single PIN.
- Please check your mailbox: You receive your PIN by email from the Data Center (ZDV) with sender ZDV-Systeminformation. You can easily change the PIN via your JGU account.
- No paper receipts: all notifications are sent by e-mail, including the return receipt, for example. You can see your loans in your loan account.
- Library cards that have already been issued remain valid. The previous borrowing password will be replaced by the new PIN.
Unfortunately, new interlibrary loan accounts cannot yet be created. If you already have an account with credit, you can still place interlibrary loans or deposit credit.
Note for non-university users:
If you already had a library card before the system changeover and no longer remember the password associated with your JGU account, please contact us at ausleihe@ub.uni-mainz.de. We will be happy to help you.
At present, it is not yet possible to activate new library cards for non-university users or extend existing ones. However, you are welcome to send us your data using the form. We will contact you as soon as you can have your library card activated at the service desk.
