Open Library—Door’s closed, but the library is open!

Starting off with a test phase from November 4, 2024, we will operate the Musicology location of the Humanities Library as an Open Library.

What does this mean? The Open Library is open for you, even if we’re not around. Allowing us to create the conditions for flexible opening hours in the future. You can find all information about this in this overview.

Virtual Guidance System

05.04.2024

With the help of our virtual guidance system, you can view the exact location of all freely accessible media, down to the specific shelf.

To do this, go to the Research Portal and call up the desired title. A link next to the location information will take you directly to the 3D model of one of our library buildings. There, you can recognize the shelf you are looking for by the highlighted color.

The system is still under development, but we are eager to make it available to you now. If you notice any errors, please send your feedback to info@ub.uni-mainz.de. Thank you!
