Participants of this training will learn about the rules and norms of research integrity, but with a focus on promoting reflection on personal attitudes and behaviour. The training takes a virtue-based approach (developed by project VIRT2UE with funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme) and supports participants in reflecting on their own understanding of, and own positions towards research integrity. It promotes the understanding of the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity as well as the DFG Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice.
The training will be held in English and combines online and face to face components. The online course provides an introduction to research integrity and the main research issues (time investment: approx. 3 hours). It is designed for individual learning and can be accessed between 1-19 May 2021. The online course will be followed by an online meeting with interactive and reflective activities, which will take place on Friday 21 May 2021, 9am-1pm.
